Commercial quantum
computers based on
ion trap technology.

Mission

QUDORA is a German startup based in Braunschweig and Hannover that builds and commercializes fully operational quantum computers as well as stand-alone quantum processors based on ion trap technology.

Quantum computers hold the promise of outperforming today’s supercomputers within the next decade, offering solutions to some of the world’s most challenging problems by leveraging the unparallel capabilities of quantum mechanics.

In collaboration with our partners, we are committed to delivering bespoke quantum technology solutions to clients worldwide, driving innovation and transformation across diverse industries.

Technology

Ion traps belong to the most promising hardware architectures to finish the global race of building a practical quantum computer. Compared to other quantum hardware architectures, trapped ion qubits offer the key advantages of record-high process fidelities for all elementary quantum operations, mild operation temperatures, and storage times on several minutes. These features make ion qubits the ideal candidate for hybrid computations.

In QUDORA’s quantum processors, we combine these advantages with a unique qubit control mechanism that utilizes convenient and highly integrable microwave electronics instead of bulky and complex laser systems. This approach, pioneered first by our co-founders, is compatible with standard semiconductor processes, paving the way to scalable quantum processors beyond 1,000s of qubits.

Team

QUDORA’s founders bring over 50+ years of combined experience in quantum technologies covering the entire technology chain necessary to build scalable quantum computers, including microfabrication, photonics, and semiconductors. Our world-class advisory board is strongly routed in the Quantum Valley Lower Saxony (QVLS), one of Germany’s strongest ecosystems for quantum technologies.
