QUDORA and QAI have partnered to integrate QUDORA’s ion-trap quantum computer within a Korean AI data center, supporting the development of hybrid AI-quantum computing and strengthening quantum collaboration between Europe and Asia.
Braunschweig, Germany / Seoul, South Korea — July 9, 2026. — QUDORA Technologies GmbH (“QUDORA”), a European full-stack ion-trap quantum computing company, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Korean quantum AI specialist QAI Co., Ltd. (“QAI”) to pursue the deployment of QUDORA’s ion-trap quantum computing technology in Korea and demonstrate hybrid AI-Quantum services for a wide range of industries, from enterprises and the public sector to research applications.
The partnership reflects the growing industrial demand for next-generation computing platforms that combine artificial intelligence with quantum computing. As a first step, the two companies will conduct a feasibility study on deploying of a QUDORA ion-trap quantum computer within AI data center infrastructure operated by QAI in Korea. The study will focus on technical integration and the implementation of hybrid AI-quantum workflows in a real operational environment.
Under the agreement, QUDORA will lead the system construction and technical integration, while QAI will conduct the local feasibility assessment and support market development activities as QUDORA expands its presence across Asia.
Combining Quantum Computing with AI Infrastructure
By combining QUDORA’s quantum computing platform with QAI’s AI infrastructure and application expertise, the collaboration aims to demonstrate practical hybrid AI-quantum services in a real operational environment. The companies have also agreed to cooperate on customer enablement, education, joint technology development, and hybrid AI-quantum solutions. The partnership also includes collaboration on export control compliance and other applicable regulatory requirements, supporting responsible international deployment of advanced quantum technologies.
“The combination of Europe’s leading ion-trap quantum computing technology with QAI’s AI data center and commercialization capabilities will serve as an important springboard for expanding hybrid AI-quantum services,” said Se-man Lim, CEO of QAI. “We will continue to broadly embrace diverse quantum computing technologies and global partners, expanding the practical foundation for quantum utilization across domestic industry, public institutions, and research.”
“We are delighted to partner with QAI. This partnership represents a significant milestone in accelerating the adoption of QUDORA’s ion-trap quantum computing technology across Asia,” said Amado Bautista, CEO of QUDORA. “By combining our leading ion-trap technology with QAI’s capabilities, we will accelerate commercialization, demonstrate utility at scale, and enable enterprise applications powered by hybrid AI-quantum computing.”
Expanding Collaboration Across Asia
With headquarters in Braunschweig, Germany and an established base in Tokyo, Japan, QUDORA continues to expand its presence across Asia. Using Korea as a strategic base, QUDORA and QAI plan to jointly pursue marketing activities, customer engagements, technical workshops, and technology demonstrations across major Asian markets, including Japan, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia. The partnership establishes a framework for long-term collaboration across the region while supporting the broader adoption of practical hybrid AI-quantum computing technologies.
About QUDORA
QUDORA Technologies GmbH, headquartered in Braunschweig, Germany, with an additional base in Tokyo, Japan, is an ion-trap-based quantum computing specialist with full-stack technological capabilities spanning quantum computing hardware, control systems, and system integration.
The ion-trap approach is considered, across the global quantum computing industry, to be one of the most stable and practical architectures in terms of quantum gate fidelity, coherence time, and qubit-to-qubit connectivity.
Combined with QUDORA’s proprietary NFQC (Near Field Quantum Control) technology, the company precisely controls qubits using highly integrated microwave-based electronic control instead of complex laser systems — simultaneously extending coherence time while ensuring system stability and control precision. This control architecture is also designed to be compatible with standard CMOS semiconductor processes, giving it a technical foundation to scale toward industrial-grade quantum computing systems with thousands of qubits or more, a point that has drawn significant attention within the industry.
About QAI
QAI is a deep-tech company that combines quantum computing and artificial intelligence technologies to solve challenges across industries. By applying quantum-classical hybrid algorithms, the company delivers optimal solutions to complex problems that are difficult to solve with conventional computing alone — including financial portfolio optimization, drug candidate discovery, and logistics route optimization. Building on strategic partnerships with data center specialists DCK and DCP, QAI has secured hyperscale and edge infrastructure dedicated to quantum and AI, offering a vertically integrated computing environment that combines software and hardware — leading the way into the era of “Quantum Utility.”
